Pasado Simple de los Verbos Regulares

* El Pasado Simple de los verbos regulares en inglés, se forma añadiendo al INFINITIVO del verbo - ED, por ejemplo:

- Walk (infinitivo) ----------- Walked (pasado simple)......... You WALKED the dog yesterday.

* Si la frase es negativa escribimos la palabra DIDN'T delante del verbo que se escribe en INFINITIVO.

- You WALKED the dog yesterday (frase afirmativa) .......You DIDN'T WALK the dog yesterday. (frase negativa)

* Si la frase es interrogativa, se forma comenzando la pregunta con la palabra DID, luego el sujeto de la frase y a continuación el verbo en INFINITIVO.

- You WALKED the dog yesterday (frase afirmativa) ..... DID you WALK the dog yesterday? (frase interrogativa)

What's the time? // What time is it? (La Hora)

Para decir la hora en un reloj analógico (con manecillas) debes saber que los ingleses llaman "PAST" a la parte del reloj que conocemos como "Y" y "TO" a la que conocemos como "MENOS".

Si la aguja grande marca el 12, es una hora "en punto" y en inglés se dice O'CLOCK

Las tres en punto = It's three o'clock

Si la aguja grande marca hacia el 3, el reloj está marcando ... "y cuarto" que en inglés se dice

A QUARTER PAST....

Son las tres y cuarto = It's a quarter past three

Si la aguja grande marca hacia el 6, el reloj está marcando ... "y media" que en inglés se dice

HALF PAST....

Son las tres y media = It's half past three

Si la aguja grande marca hacia el 9, el reloj está marcando ... "menos cuarto" que en inglés se dice

A QUARTER TO....

Son las tres menos cuarto = It's a quarter to three

Cuando la aguja grande del reloj marca MINUTOS, primero se dicen los minutos, luego PAST o TO según corresponda y a continuación la HORA.

Son las Ocho y Veinte = It's Twenty past Eight.

Son las Ocho menos Veinte = It's Twenty to Eight.
